Fresh Off The Runway
Whether it’s plush winter coats, glamorous black pantsuits or billowy ankle-grazing dresses, Mandarin Gallery has stylish new answers to update your work wardrobe for Fall. Here’s the lowdown on this season’s latest ready-to-wear collections from Max Mara, Michael Kors, Bimba Y Lola.
Bimba Y Lola
This season, BIMBA Y LOLA’s FW 2017-18 collection is all about speed: from racer motorbikes, shooting stars, to rockets! Inspired by fast cars and race tracks, expect a main colour palette of red, black, and white, with metallic fabrics that mimic the design of race cars, eye-catching zippers typical of on track overalls, and prints such as a team emblem based on BIMBA Y LOLA’s logo.
It’s no holds barred when it comes to the handbag and footwear collections, with glossy materials like metal, glitter and lurex being used. Accessories are topped off with metallic adornments, and quilting – just like those on the racing suits of Formula 1 drivers.
Welcome to the most breath-taking race of the season ... fasten your safety belts, because here comes #THISISSPEED

MICHAEL KORS THE WALK
Take a cue from international trendsetters British model Ella Richards, American model Selah Marley and Chinese actress and Michael Kors Brand Ambassador Yang Mi. For the fourth in an ongoing series of Michael Kors The Walk, the IT girls styled themselves in their favourite pieces from Michael Kors Fall 2017 and took the season’s must-have bag, the Sadie, to the streets of London. In keeping with previous seasons, the campaign was lensed by renowned street style chronicler Tommy Ton.
“Fall was inspired by the idea of the rock ‘n’ roll glamour of the 1980s but with a modern edge, which these three young women have in droves. It was exciting to take Michael Kors The Walk to a city with such great street style of its own,” says Michael Kors.
This season, the Sadie handbag is showcased in three chic shades, with the chain-link detailing lending a downtown appeal to your look.

For discreet yet head-turning looks that spell slouchy glamour, look to Max Mara’s Fall 2017 collection. Executed in colours from the Max Mara Pantheon - camel, cognac, casha, grey, and emphatic red – expect full skirted silhouettes, pleats that flare from the waist, and the key to this season’s mood – knits with rich cables and ribs.
The highlight of this collection is the opulent ‘Teddy Bear' coat, made of a unique faux fur of pure camel hair on a base of silk, in an exuberant volume. Already spotted on Carine Roitfeld, Kim Kardashian and Rita Ora, the irresistible lure of the coat entices all to bundle up in it.
“Every few years we feel the need to present a collection that is just about Max Mara, our brand values and our unique history,” said Ian Griffiths, Creative Director of Max Mara. Fall 2017 was one of those collections. Originally developed by Max Mara in the 80's, the technology to produce the coat was redeveloped with an Italian supplier.
